Is aimed to developers, contractors architects and engineers able to specify aterials and technologies who intend to implement good management practices that encourage sustainable performance of their projects.

Is expected that by giving the proper information to whom is currently designing and building, environmental performance will increase.

This award aims to recognize and spread outstanding sustainable architecture due to its social and environmental performance.

In previous contests, the η-ter award used to be called Sustainability and Energy Efficiency for buildings and Resources (SEEER in Spanish). For this year, 2017, it was decided to change the name to η-ter, making it more reachable to other countries and languages.

The Greek letter η is used to measure the thermal transmission among materials and other applications, therefore it was selected as the most appropriate to represent the intention of this award.
